Michael S. Slobasky


Michael Slobasky, D.O., is the Founder of Global Neuro & Spine Institute. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is triple board certified in pain medicine, and in physical medicine and rehabilitation. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1997, he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University in Glendale, Ariz., in 2002.

Dr. Slobasky did his internship in New York, NY at St. Vincent’s Midtown Hospital (formerly St. Clare’s). This was followed by a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (Physiatry) at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA where he served as Chief Resident. Following his residency, Dr. Slobasky completed an ACGME accredited Fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine at Temple University Hospital and the clinics of Mid Atlantic Spine. Dr. Slobasky prides himself on performing spinal injections, electrodiagnostics, and minimally invasive spine surgeries with as little patient discomfort as possible.

Shatabdi Patel MD. DABPN - South Florida Doctor

Shatabdi Patel

Dr. Shatabdi Patel is double boarded in the Specialty of Neurology and sub-specialty of Headache Medicine. She is also fellowship trained in Interventional Pain Medicine.

Dr. Patel is originally from New Jersey where she completed her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University. She subsequently attended Medical School at Ross University. She then joined Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia where she completed her internship in Internal Medicine followed by a residency in Neurology. She then went on to complete a Headache Medicine Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital as well and an ACGME- accredited Interventional Pain Medicine Fellowship at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan, NY. Dr. Patel is proficient in neuropathic pain, headaches, spinal injections, joint injections, Spinal Cord Stimulators, and electrodiagnostics.

Ali S Malik

D.O., D.A.O.B.P.M.R., M.S.B.E.

Ali S. Malik, D.O., is a Board-Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician who specializes in treating painful conditions of the spine; including low back pain, mid-back pain, neck pain, radiculopathy, sciatica, spinal stenosis, spondylosis, degenerative disc disease, facet joint arthropathy, and disorders of the sacrum.

Dr. Malik completed both undergraduate and graduate school in Florida at the University of Miami, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering.  He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  He then went on to complete PM&R residency training with Nova Southeastern University, where he served as academic and administrative Chief Resident during his final year of training.  Following residency, he completed an Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine of Mount Sinai in New York City.  After fellowship, Dr. Malik joined the Icahn School of Medicine of Mount Sinai as an Assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Rehabilitation, and also worked as an interventional pain physician with the Comprehensive Spine and Pain Center of New York.

Dr. Malik is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Osteopathic Association. He has presented and lectured on various topics at medical conferences, both locally and nationally, and has published several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. He also serves as an Ad Hoc journal article reviewer for both the PM&R Journal, and the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Pedro Salcedo 


Pedro Salcedo has been working in the field of pain management for greater than 10 years and he is Board-Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant studies from the Medical College of Georgia.  After completing his studies, he began working in the field of Emergency Medicine in Augusta, Georgia.  He then spent a few years working in the field of neurosurgery in West Palm Beach, as a first assist in both spine and brain surgery.  His exposure to surgical management of neck pain and back pain prompted Pedro to transition into pain management.  Prior to his career as a physician assistant he was an active duty soldier for the United States Army, where he proudly served for six years as a combat medical specialist and Licensed Practical Nurse.  Pedro promotes a comprehensive approach to pain management which includes diet, weight loss, medications, and interventional procedures.
Pedro was born in Methuen, Massachusetts and raised in South Florida.
Henrice Tanya Nolan, ARNP - Orlando Palm Bay Florida Nurse Practitioner

Tanya Nolan is Board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She studied for and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The College of New Rochelle and went on to receive her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.  Tanya worked 9 years as a critical care nurse, additionally worked in pain management for 4 years in NY and FL prior to joining GNSI. She is also a part of the Sigma Theta Tau International Society of Nursing.  Tanya was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. and both her parents originated from Jamaica. Her Mother was a Registered Nurse so Tanya knew that she wanted to be involved in medicine from the very young age of 8.  When Tanya was 18 and in High School a personal loss in her life solidified and lead to her decision in her field.  From that day forward, Tanya has dedicated herself to helping and healing patients. Her future goals and aspirations are to be involved in medical research and to obtain her PhD so that she can teach medicine to the next generation.

Dr. Danielle Gagne DC


Dr. Danielle Gagne, who grew up in Florida, is a licensed Chiropractic Physician serving in the Treasure Coast region. Dr. Gagne completed her bachelor’s in Social Science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando before moving to Port Orange to complete her Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s Florida campus. Immediately following graduation, she moved back to the Treasure Coast to be closer to her friends and family.

Dr. Gagne focuses on finding the causes of acute and chronic musculoskeletal dysfunction, discomfort, and sub-optimal performance to idealize the function of the nervous system and accelerate the pathways towards good health. Dr. Gagne utilizes various techniques such as Gonstead, Thompson Drop, Diversified, Activator Methods, and the Palmer Package.

In her free time, Dr. Gagne enjoys golfing, kayaking, boating, and various other outdoor activities. She is excited to continue to serve the Treasure Coast with the best care possible and is looking forward to meeting the patients of Global Neuro and Spine Institute.


Dr. Chantel Rusz, PMHNP-BC

Chantel is a board-certified family psychiatric nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Her interest in science and zeal for helping others started at a young age. Chantel received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University. After seven years of working as a Registered Nurse at VCU Health System, she obtained her master’s degree in nursing, specializing in psychiatry from Virginia Commonwealth University. Chantel has worked with adults and pediatrics throughout her nursing career. Chantel is a member of the Neuroscience Education Institute.

Chantel enjoys all areas of psychiatry but holds a special place in her heart for adults living with trauma histories. She believes it’s important to use trauma-informed care with these individuals. Chantel is certified in ART (accelerated resolution therapy), which is a modality that can provide benefit for PTSD symptoms, in little as one session. In addition, she believes that early intervention is the key to living a fulfilling and productive life. Chantel’s other interests include; medication management and stress management. She believes in emphasizing the integrative principles of mind-body-spirit care to achieve a holistic approach to treating patients. Also, it is her utmost goal to see the stigma attached to mental health dissipate.
