Dr. Malik is a Board-Certified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician who specializes in treating painful conditions of the spine; including low back pain, mid-back pain, neck pain, radiculopathy, sciatica, spinal stenosis, spondylosis, degenerative disc disease, facet joint arthropathy, and disorders of the sacrum.
Dr. Malik completed both undergraduate and graduate school in Florida at the University of Miami, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He then completed residency training in the field of PM&R, also with Nova Southeastern University, where he served as academic and administrative chief resident during his final year of training. After residency, he went on to complete an interventional spine and sports medicine fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine of Mount Sinai, in New York City. After fellowship, Dr. Malik returned to the South Florida area where he worked for several years as an interventional pain management physician between Naples, Florida and Miami, Florida.
Dr. Malik is a member of the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Osteopathic Association. He has presented and lectured on various topics at medical conferences, both locally and nationally, and has published several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals. He also serves as an Ad Hoc journal article reviewer for both the PM&R Journal, and the American Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
